Delhi – 02 nights; by road to Agra - 01 night; by road to Jaipur – 02 nights; by road to Shekhawati – 02 nights; by road to Ajmer – 01 night; by road to Udaipur – 02 nights; fly to Mumbai and connect flight home.

 



Upon arrival transfer from the International airport to the hotel.

Drive into Old Delhi past two ancient cities of Delhi to visit Rajghat – Mahatma Gandhi memorial. On through New Delhi seeing Rashtrapati Bhawan – once the British viceroy’s palace, Parliament House, Rajpath ceremonial causeway, and India Gate war memorial to visit Humayun’s Tomb – forerunner of The Taj Mahal. On to visit 12th century Quwat-ul-Islam Mosque, and Qutub Minar – tallest structure in Delhi’s environs for centuries.

In the morning, depart by road for Agra - city of The Taj Mahal. At Agra visit the magnificent Agra Fort - built over the reigns of three emperors.

Early morning visit to The Taj Mahal at sunrise. After breakfast, depart by road for Jaipur en route visiting 16th century ‘ghost town’ of Fatehpur Sikri - once a glittering capital of The Great Mughals.


Today visit the Fortress Palace of Amber and enjoy an elephant ride. In Jaipur’s colourful old bazaar see Hawa Mahal – behind whose latticed screens princesses sat to watch ceremonial processions. Visit the City Palace+Museum where Jaipur’s last Maharaja still resides, and Jantar Mantar – 18th century Royal Observatory.


In the morning, depart by road for Shekhawati - known as the ‘Open-Air-Art-Gallery of Rajasthan’. In the evening, a walking tour of farm to see the life style of rural people of the region. Later enjoy informal entertainment by folk performers.

Today take a walking tour through the bazaar of a colorful little provincial town, and visit the Painted Mansions - glowing with frescoes on almost every inch of their walls and ceilings. Enjoy a camel cart ride around a fort watching the sunset turn into dusk.

In the morning, depart by road for Ajmer. En route see the famous Pushkar Lake, site of the famous Pushkar Fair.

After breakfast drive to Udaipur – city of lakes. In the evening enjoy a Boat Cruise on Lake Pichola.

Today visit the amazing 15th century Ranakpur Jain Temples profusely decorated with intricate marble filigrees, and supported on 1444 richly carved columns, no two alike.


Today visit Maharajah of Udaipur’s City Palace + Museum towering over Lake Pichola. In the evening check out and transfer to connect flight to Mumbai to connect onward flight home.
