Day 01 - KOLKATA / SUNDERBAN
After an early breakfast, check-out from Kolkata and drive to Sonakhali, the point where the road ends, and the cruise into the Sunderban begins. Board the cruise boat and ride to Dayapur. Tea/coffee will be served on board. Upon arrival at Dayapur, check-in at theSunderban Tiger Camp, separated from the Sunderban Tiger Reserve Forest by only the River Pitchkhali. After check-in and lunch, depart by boat for theSajnekhali Tiger Project Areato observe wildlife including the magnificent Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat. See also theSajnekhali Museum, the Mangrove Interpretation Centre & Watch Towerfor a view of this unusual environment. Return to the Camp for tea/coffee and snacks, followed by an evening around the bonfire, replete with folk dances by local artists – or a wildlife movie. Dinner & overnight at the Camp.
Day 02 - SUNDERBAN
Early morning, take a thrilling Boat Cruise inside creeks and dense forest through numerous rivers while visitingDobanke Watch Towerwhere the canopy walk inside the forest sends chills down your spine. Breakfast will be served onboard. Also visit theSpotted Deer Rehabilitation Centre. Later, cruise throughMatla Sea Face- the point from where the Bay of Bengal can be seen. Cruise back through the5-river junctionto the Camp for lunch. In the afternoon, stroll through the neighbouring villages toINTERACT WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITYat a typical Sunderban settlement to understand their local art, culture and lifestyle. Return to the Camp for tea/coffee and snacks, |

Day 03 - SUNDERBAN / KOLKATA
Early morning, visit theSudhanyakhali Watch Towerand cruise through the rivers and narrow creeks of Pitchkhali – Sarakhkhali – Sudhanokhali - Bonobibi Dharani, followed by a cruise around the Islands of theSunderban Tiger Project Area. Breakfast will be served on board. Return to the Camp for some rest & relaxation before an early lunch. By noon, depart to cruise back to Sonakhali, from where we drive to Kolkata. On arrival, check-in at the 5-star Hotel The Park for dinner & overnight.
Day 04 - KOLKATA / OUT
After breakfast, or at an appropriate time, transfer to the airport to connect your flight home. |
